After a minor day issue after updating my software for word press to 2.8 and realizing that the most important plug-in I use is not ready for the update I spent a good amount of time downgrading back to 2.7.1.  This is after I had already added a bunch of new products to my site and then I had to do it all over again, after correcting the issue.  After fixing the issue though I then figured out a way around the not ready plug in for the new handling of javascript with the newest word press.  Anyways, new paintings and new giclees are available for you to peruse and possibly make a purchase.

Right now I am watching by osmosis “So You Think You can Dance” and it is killing me.  Ali and her sister Carly are watching it and I have to say it is retarded and would actually choose “American Idol” over it.

Rest of the week I have been rather busy doing minor things that just seem to take up a lot of my time and I am going to continue doing them for now, and will soon begin building new painting stretchers and getting canvases ready.  Until then maybe you hang on every minute waiting for me to update you on my existence.

Oh yeah Happy Father’s Day to all the ones I will not call on that day, you ain’t my Dad!

My Art Life

It has become obvious that I will not be posting daily because either I have nothing to say and do not want to be on the computer and/or I am superstitious and do not want something to be ruined.  I do have a art lesson today at my studio and I am a bit nervous because I have never given one here in this studio and it has been quite a while since I have given one.  I really do want things to go smoothly so that she will continue studying drawing with me, and I can really begin to recruit more students for the summer at least.  The other announcement is that I have been officially accepted to Brooklyn College’s teaching certificate program which I will have to earn twenty-two credits and one hundred hours of teaching time to obtain my certificate.  It will be a two-hour affair and will be that just in case or I am ready to start applying for teaching positions, I will see after two years.

This weekend was pretty enjoyable, but I also knew this week which is busy for me (can’t fully discuss at the moment – yeah know superstition) so I was never quite relaxed.  Ali had a bunch of cakes due and so when that was finally done we were able to go over to her parent’s and have Bixby relax in a really big mud puddle and go swimming.  We had a nice barbecue with my master ribs, and they were excellent.  I also finally got the desk out of the house and was able to sand the top, but stopped there for the neighbors sake.  The last event of the weekend was he hung my bird paintings in the living room to let them out and now Ali really doesn’t want to give them up, or is demanding I make ones specifically for our place.  They do look really good and I recommend buying one, but check them hung in our place.
